FAQS
Do you practice integrative or lifestyle medicine?
Absolutely! Integrative medicine is a beautiful blending of the art and the science, of the old and the new, of intuition and academics. I personally don’t believe we can practice medicine ethically without considering both complementary and traditional teachings. As for lifestyle medicine, I fail to see how lifestyle is not a basic tenet of primary care.
Do you see children?
I serve patients ages 12 and up.
Is there parking?
Plentiful free parking is available in our parking lot and on Townsgate Road.
Do you do house calls?
Not routinely, but it’s been known to happen.
What is telehealth?
Telehealth is a safe, secure way to see your doctor over video, providing an important option when time or distance prevents in-person care.
What are your hours?
Dr. Waneka’s office is open 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Appointments are required.
How long are visits?
Initial visits are 60-90 minutes.
Subsequent visits may last 15-60 minutes depending on complexity of the concerns!
How long is the wait for new patient appointment requests?
I respond to new patient appointment requests within 48 hours.
Why is your name on my Sunset Hills Acupuncture bill?
Dr. Christie Koehler, LAc, and I partner together to provide Medicare beneficiaries with acupuncture services for low back pain. While your services are provided exclusively at Sunset Hills Acupuncture, your Medicare benefits are under my name. There is no additional charge to you.
